Christmas Weekend ~ 2010

                                                                   Christmas 2010

It has been several days since I did a blog or thought about doing one.  This past week has been a little crazy with doing all the final touches with shop-pin, baking and deciding to put up a Christmas tree.
.
To be honest I wanted to sleep through Christmas and I would have if it had not been for a good friend Kay and her two sons.  I just didn't feel like I had anything to be happy about because my brother is still sick, last Friday my oldest niece was told she had lung cancer and my daughter moved out to live with a boy who is a trouble soul.  I knew she would leave the nest again one day but I had hoped for someone much better.
.
But all in, all the weekend turn out to be a blessing instead of feeling sorry for myself.  Friday night Kay, her sons and I went to a candle light service at her church and it was so beautiful and a blessing.
.
Then after wards, we went to Glendale Lights and then went to a few houses who had beautiful lights.  Later on over at my place, we had a few snacks, hot apple cider to drink, while we watched several Christmas movies, talked and laughed.  Then we all agree to sleep in and have Christmas supper instead of dinner.

 Christmas Lights

Christmas morning Andy and Roxie decided I was not going to sleep in, they had me up around 8am.
.
Andy and I had our morning walk and coffee before I started cooking, plus I had to finish their Christmas stockings.  I knew Andy would be in his if I put it under the tree earlier.
.
We laugh so hard at Andy, when his little head, and body kept crawling back in, and out of his stocking, pulling his toys and goodies out.  He was just like a child as I watched him thinking about a year ago when Heather brought him home I didn't want to like him.   Now he is the one that keeps me going during the day, bringing laughter and a smile to my face.  This little fellow has won a special place in my heart and he knows it too.
.
I thought about mom and cried some during the day thinking about last year at this time.  When we were all together and I laugh as well when, I thought about the green food color on her face, plus other things as well.
.
I am thankful and bless that Kay and I found each other again.  I will always believe faith brought us together again because we both moved off and lost touched during this past year.    Now here we are having Christmas together.
