It looks like rain and the news is telling us we are going to get heavy rain and thunder storms this weekend. Not very good weather to start the New Orleans Jazz Festival.
I decided to cook red beans and rice with corn bread, I started them last night because they will have a good flavor after the spices and smoke sausages are cooked slow and then sits over night.
Since I have been back at home, I am spending more time in the kitchen and cooking my food more slower to get all those special spices and flavors just right.

My Granny use to tell me, the way to a man heart is through his stomach but I soon learn with some it was down lower.
